Most Boeing Dreamliners grounded for battery checks

TOKYO/SEATTLE (Reuters) – Airlines scrambled on Thursday to file flights as Europe, Japan and India assimilated a United States in education Boeing Co’s 787 Dreamliner newcomer jets while battery-related problems are investigated.

The lightweight, especially carbon-composite craft has been tormented by new mishaps – including an puncture alighting of a Japanese domestic moody on Wednesday after warning lights indicated a battery problem – lifting concerns over the use of new technology, such as lithium-ion batteries.
