A Syrian-bound craft intercepted by Turkey was carrying Russian-made counterclaim apparatus unfailing for Syria’s counterclaim ministry, Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said.

“Passenger aircraft can’t lift ammunition, and counterclaim equipment,” Mr Erdogan said, adding, “unfortunately there was such apparatus on board”.

Turkish jets forced a plane, entrance from Moscow, to land in Ankara.

Syria and Russia have denied allegations of an bootleg cargo.
