The adult calm of JK Rowling’s new novel appears to have found small foster with early reviewers.
The Casual Vacancy has been described as ‘extremely graphic’ by one U.S. newspaper, that pennyless an embargo by edition a day before the opposition titles.
The New York Daily News found
particular error with Ms Rowling’s use of scurrilous language, saying that
the bestselling author had left from ‘Potter to potty-mouth’.
