anything no need to ever waste ur hard earned money on me. I'll live n jail
you dnt want me around anymore that's kool bye…I love u assata sis"

Thaxton, wearing hoodie and jeans, entered offices at Three Gateway Centre at
8:15 am on Friday morning. Demanding food and money, the suspect then gained
access to the 16th floor and confronted an employee, said police.

Thaxton carried two duffle bags and was believed to be armed, with a knife,
pistol and a rifle.

The suspect has a criminal background and is said to be ex military, police
revealed.

Police have sealed off parts of the city centre and SWAT teams have been
called in after a man, believed to be armed, took an employee hostage at the
offices of a financial services company.

A man entered offices at Three Gateway Centre at 8:15 am in the morning
demanding food and money, according to police. The suspect then accessed to
the 16th floor and confronted an employee.

The suspect, Kleine Michael Thaxton and was dressed in a hoodie and jeans,
carrying two duffle bags.

Thaxton is armed, and carried two duffle bags carrying a knife, pistol and a
rifle but has not made any demands. Police said he was also suspected to be
carrrying a bomb, without giving further details.

The suspect has a criminal background and is said to be ex military, police
revealed.

The identity of the hostage remains unidentified, but police stated they have
made contact with relatives.

Thaxton's mother is on the scene but has not been put in communication with
her son.

He is said to be calm, cooperative and talking with SWAT team negotiates.

Police have stated that there is free movement in all areas of the building
except on the 16th floor.

A woman named as Gina, who works on the 20th floor said she and others were
told a man with a gun was on the 16th floor and "nothing else."

One report said a woman was seen running from the office screaming that her
father was being held hostage.

Police are establishing a staging area near the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh
hotel.

A police spokesman said: “We have a visual on him as well as being in
communication with him.

“We believe that the hostage is probably the intended target.”

the tower block.

Police at the scene said that the hostage was so far unharmed and that the
armed man – believed to be in his 20′s – was talking to officers.

Local TV station WTAE reported that the man had walked into the Breitsman
offices and demanded food and money. He was carrying two duffel bags and
said he had explosives.

He is said to have demanded food and money and was armed with a pistol, a

Thaxton’s connection to the company, CW Breitsman Associates which deals with
a pension fund or insurance claim, is unknown.

Thaxton has a criminal history. In Jan 2012, he pleaded guilty in a veteran’s
court to robbery, assault, attempting to allude an officer and was sentence
to a minimum of 6 months after the car-jacking. In May 2012 he committed a
probation violation.
